Morning Rituals That Spark Confidence & Clarity
There’s something sacred about the early morning – before emails, to-do lists, and daily noise begin to pile on. It’s the one time of day the house is quiet, and I truly get time to myself. Over the years, I’ve discovered that how I start my day sets the tone for everything that follows. May is mental health awareness month, and I firmly believe that my morning ritual plays a huge role in my mental health. My current routine is more than just a checklist; it’s a ritual that helps me feel grounded, strong, and connected to my purpose. Below are some highlights from my morning ritual. I’m sharing because they work for me, and I thought that some or all of it may work for others too.
Waking Up with Intention
I start my mornings simply hoping out of bed and splash my face with cold water, followed by Oliveda’s F63 Serum — a product I genuinely love for how nourished and awake it makes my skin feel. I then apply Arbonne eye masks for a quick moment of cooling calm while I change into my workout clothes.
Mind Before Movement
Next, I sit on the floor and pick a 5–10-minute meditation from the Peloton app. This time grounds me. It reminds me why I prioritize my wellness – not for aesthetics, but for clarity, energy, and peace. Just a few minutes is all it takes to shift into a more focused, empowered mindset.
Movement as a Form of Self-Respect
Now it’s time to make some sweat! I usually do some strength work of some kind for 20-30 minutes, whether it’s a BODi strength workout as part of a support group, or a strength session on Peloton, I love how it energizes my body. After my strength workout, I run — my absolute favorite part of the morning. On the treadmill, I let music take me on a journey. Outdoors, on the Luce Line trail, I let nature guide me. It's the one time of day I feel truly free. If the workout is with the Peloton app, it always ends with a high five and note of inspiration!
Stretch, Restore, Recenter
I follow up with yoga or stretching — a reminder to slow down and be kind to my body. Then, it’s time to shower and get ready. Using my current skincare loves from Oliveda feels like a mini spa ritual that bookends my morning movement.
Sip & Start the Day
I like to include a sip on an Arbonne Fizz or a warm cup of Clean Tox Tea as I move into my workday. This small act helps me stay energized and grounded. It's less about caffeine and more about intention.
Wellness is more than a passion — it’s my purpose. I’m not a coach, trainer, or expert (yet), but deeply believe in the power of rituals, movement, and mindful care. I hope to work more directly in the wellness space someday — but for now, I’ll keep sharing what I love and living it every day.
